The changing seasons
September 22, the day of the fall equinox, went virtually unnoticed this year. It's hard to believe that fall has arrived, judging by the beautiful sunny days and summer temperatures that continue to delight us.
But don't be fooled, the first signs of the new season are becoming more and more apparent. The word equinox means that the day is equal in length to the night. As a result, the sun sets earlier, the days are getting shorter, and the nights are cooler. Nature is getting in tune and beginning to show its fall colours.
It's the perfect time to take a walk in the Deschênes Forest. Every day, the colors intensify and the leaves take on magnificent shades of yellow, red, and orange. And what about the magnificent sunsets that set the horizon ablaze and are reflected in the river! A sight not to be missed.
