Spectacle Sans Faim to showcase local talent for a worthy cause

The second edition of Spectacle Sans Faim, a benefit concert supporting the Centre Alimentaire Aylmer, will take place on January 15, 2025, at Salle Jean-Despréz in the Maison du Citoyen. This growing event brings together emerging artists from the Outaouais region to showcase their talents while raising funds for families in need.
The event is organized by 17-year-old Rosalie Fillion, who has taken on the challenge of planning, promoting, and managing the concert. A full-time student with a part-time job, Fillion handles most aspects of the production herself, from securing sponsorships to coordinating performers. She is supported by Penelope Krause, who oversees the technical aspects of the show, and her father, Jonathan Fillion, who assists with media outreach.
This year’s lineup features 33 young performers, including notable participants from regional competitions like Secondaire en Spectacle and Cégep en Spectacle. Among them is Cayden Couture-Lanthier, who performed at the Hot Air Balloon Festival following his success on school stages. Other artists, such as Alexia Brassard, Charles Prince, and Juliette Deslauriers, represent a vibrant array of musical and performance talent. The evening’s programme includes 17 acts, blending solo performances and group numbers.
The inaugural edition of Spectacle Sans Faim, held in 2023 at Grande-Rivière High School, raised $2,300 with 12 performers. This year, Fillion has set her sights on raising $4,000, supported by $3,000 in sponsorships from organisations like the Caisse populaire Desjardins Hull-Aylmer and the City of Gatineau, which provided the venue and technical services free of charge. Ticket prices are $22.04 for general admission and $16.82 for students.
With costs fully covered by sponsorships, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Centre Alimentaire Aylmer. The event underscores the power of local action, combining artistic celebration with a meaningful community initiative. For tickets or more information, visit lepointdevente.com.
