Road rage incident in Aylmer leads to investigation and pending charges

A road rage altercation involving the driver of a motorcycle and a vehicle escalated into an armed assault on the evening of May 5, prompting an immediate response from the Gatineau Police Service. The incident occurred around 7:30 pm near 300 Boulevard Wilfrid Lavigne, Aylmer.
According to the Gatineau Police, the confrontation resulted in a 52-year-old man sustaining injuries. He was promptly attended to by paramedics and transported to a local hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
The authorities have detained three individuals in connection with the incident. These persons have been interviewed by investigators, and charges are expected to be filed with the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions. In addition, several witnesses at the scene were interviewed to establish the exact causes and circumstances surrounding the event.
The Gatineau Police has confirmed that a weapon was involved in the assault, heightening the severity of the situation. However, specific details about the nature of the weapon and its use during the incident remain under wraps as the investigation is ongoing.
