Person shot in broad daylight on Rue de Bruxelles

An individual was injured after shots were fired at a vehicle on Rue de Bruxelles in Gatineau’s Aylmer sector on July 20. The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 pm, prompting a rapid response from local police and paramedics.

Upon arrival, officers provided assistance until paramedics transported the victim to hospital. The injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators interviewed witnesses throughout the evening to determine the events that led to the shooting. No arrests had been made by the following day, and the investigation remained open.
