News from the Forêt Deschênes

This summer we carried out a project that was very close to our hearts: the creation and installation of information panels in various areas of the forest, with the aim of raising awareness of and protecting this precious environment.

The Deschênes forest

The first concerns the forest as a whole, and its many assets of exceptional ecological value.

The marshes

The second explains the role and importance of marshes, incomparable habitats for biodiversity and essential for a host of animals.

The banks of the Ottawa River

The third tour praises the forest's riparian zone and the important ecosystem it supports. Here you can admire the rich flora and fauna that characterize it.

We hope these panels will give you a better appreciation of this unique environment, and help you understand why the Alliance aspires to create a special status to protect it.
