Music under the Trees at Parc commémoratif this August

A free outdoor concert will be held at Aylmer's Parc commémoratif,117 Rue Principale, this month as part of the "Music Under the Trees" series, running from 6 - 8 pm on August 17. The evening will feature Unison Groovin, a regional cover band known for its interactive, high-energy performances built on the chemistry between its musicians. The group doesn't stick to one genre, instead shifting its setlist to match the crowd, moving between Motown, classic rock 'n' roll and dance rock, with detours into country, Latin rhythms and blues. The band has also written original material, including a single called "Together We Rise."  Unison Groovin is a familiar act on the regional circuit, having performed at community venues such as the Royal Canadian Legion's Eastview Branch in Vanier, summer destinations like Happy Green Acres Campground, and retirement residences including Chartwell Jardins Notre-Dame. The concert is part of a summer-long program pairing tributes to well-known French singers, such as Édith Piaf and Joe Dassin, with Quebec favourites and local talent. Attendees are asked to bring their own camping chairs or blankets.
