Meet Our Environmental Organizations – The Forest Fair, May 9!
Alliance Parc Deschênes
On Saturday, May 9, a diverse group of local and regional organizations working on environmental issues related to the forest will be there to meet you at the entrance to Boucher Forest (on Samuel Edey) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enviro Educ Action will have booths to help us learn about forest management in Quebec and related professions. There will be information booths from local associations, booths from organizations working in forestry-related fields, a coffee stand and forest-derived products will be sold. Bring the whole family to learn about natural beekeeping (Apicentris), how to identify mushrooms (Mycologues amateurs de l’Outaouais), pollination and its role (Localleaf Polliniser Aylmer), vermicomposting (CreaTerre), and, more broadly, how to protect and care for our vegetation to preserve and enhance our environment (UQO, Arbosecur, Forêt Boucher, CPAWS-SNAP – Canadian Parks and Wildlife Society). The Alliance Parc Deschênes (APD) will be on site, alongside at least 10 other participating organizations, for a wonderful day of discovery. This is a great initiative by Enviro-Educ action in collaboration with Forêt Boucher. Come one, come all—bring the whole family!
