Luskville is gearing up for an innovative community event: the Farm Hop, slated for November 4, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm in the Chemin Cregheur area. This pioneering event has its roots in a desire to intimately connect local communities with the sustainable practices and products of farms and homesteads in the region. Those attending will have the unique opportunity to delve into an array of original handmade wares and artworks, all while gaining valuable insights into wellness and sustainability.
The Farm Hop will spotlight four distinct farms and a vineyard, each with its own special offerings. Leystone Farms, located at 1965 Route 148, stands out with its captivating hillside vineyard. Founded in 2020, this farm has swiftly established a name for itself by emphasizing sustainable, regenerative practices, all guided by the aim to nurture both the land and its community. Meanwhile, Mountain View Farm, perched at 575 Chemin Cregheur, is a testament to the integration of mindfulness and sustainability in farming. This 5-acre family-run homestead doubles as a venue for workshops and retreats, offering eco-friendly products and serving as home to a delightful assortment of rescued animals.
Adding to the allure of the event is Vignobles Les Collines at 415 Chemin Cregheur, a vineyard deeply committed to respecting the earth in its cultivation processes. This commitment extends to their cellar master's efforts, ensuring wines that truly capture the essence of their terroir. Not to be missed is Infinity Farm, nestled at 310 Chemin Kerr, the realization of Victoria and Robert's dream to live in harmony with nature on a hobby farm, offering top-notch natural and eco-friendly farm products. Lastly, Agape Gardens at 1930 Chemin de la Montagne stands as an embodiment of land stewardship and holistic living, with its 28-acre sanctuary offering a range of services from community gardens to educational workshops.
The event promises extensive promotional activities, ensuring widespread community awareness. However, attendees are urged to adhere to one crucial guideline for the event: refrain from bringing dogs onto any of the farm properties, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
