Local markets and organizations join up to offer local products - and share with neighbours in need
Lily Ryan
Within the pages of this edition there are several invitations for readers to donate, volunteer and shop locally. Bring cash everywhere, for donations. Each piece of our community is part of what makes Aylmer Aylmer. The Christmas markets all across town last weekend were part of this local sharing system. On December 2, the Santa Parade is the big deal in town -- what a celebration of good cheer! Carolling & Christmas Readings (December 3, 2 pm at Aylmer United Church), tree-lighting ceremonies (5e Baron, December 1 at 6:30), photos with Santa at the Galeries Aylmer. These are all festive - and all have an element of fundraising for families in need. Bring cash donations because every one of these events are gathering donations. Fundraisers are coming up at busy intersections so having money in the car is another important step in helping neighbours.
