La Grande Fripe returns for a seventh year

La Grande Fripe, the Outaouais region's popular secondhand clothing event, held its seventh edition on April 10 and 11 at 425 boulevard Saint-Joseph, drawing crowds of enthusiastic shoppers in search of quality second-hand pieces at a time when sustainable consumption has never felt more urgent. Racks were stocked with unique items in excellent condition. Those who had purchased VIP passes were rewarded with early entry, getting the run of the floor a full 30 minutes ahead of the general public. Every coat, blouse, or pair of trousers that left the event on the back of a new owner was one fewer garment headed for the landfill, a fact that has only added to the event's appeal as concern for sustainable consumption has continued to grow.
