Jim Washer May 11th, 1961 – January 14th, 2023
It is with hearts that are broken into a thousand million pieces that we write about our loss, though it is with memories filled with love and happiness that we recall our beloved Jim. On January 14th, in the arms of his loving family, Jim passed away.
Father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, neighbour, friend, mentor; Jim was many things to many people, and he took on each role with love, humility, compassion and a youthful sense of humour.
But his most important role was husband to his beloved wife, Mirjam, with whom he shared a deep, giddy, teenage love for 44 years. Jim was a family man, a foodie, and an adventurer of the great outdoors. Truly a people person, he would never go somewhere without taking the time to stop, talk, and connect.
Jim has taught us to open our hearts wider, to love deeper, and to forgive more freely. He has shown us how to fill our years as fully, as bravely and as beautifully as we can.
He leaves a legacy of love and laughter in the hearts of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, Jim would want you to please perform an act of kindness in your neighbourhood.
