Hull-Aylmer's Seniors Council is seeking new members

Seniors in Hull-Aylmer have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their community through the Seniors Council. The Council is seeking seniors aged 65 years and older to discuss issues that affect them, such as public pension supplements, home care, and elder abuse, and work together on policies for their well-being. The Council is also open to ideas and volunteer work for the community.

The Council's importance has been recognized by Greg Fergus, Member of Parliament for Hull-Aylmer, who thanks the Council for its contributions to the community. Fergus acknowledges that seniors are often left on the sidelines and praises the Council's willingness to have frank discussions about the future of the country, calling the frequent Council meetings one of the highlights of his career as the Member of Parliament. “Seniors have made significant contributions to the country, and their wisdom and insights are essential in shaping the future,” said Fergus. 
 
Fergus also shared his own positive experiences working with the Hull-Aylmer Seniors Council. "The council members have challenged me with their insightful views and their willingness to have frank discussions about the future of our country," he said. "Our frequent council meetings are one of the highlights of my career as the member of Parliament for Hull-Aylmer."
