Hadley and Philemon Wright relaunch their sports programs

Families interested in competitive sports were invited to learn about the opportunities available to student-athletes during an information evening on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Hadley Junior High School and Philemon Wright High School in the Hull sector of Gatineau.
The event focused on the development of the Sport Studies and Sport Concentration programs, which aim to allow young people to pursue their academic studies while developing their athletic skills.
The Sport Studies program is designed for students who practice a sport intensively at the provincial, national, or international level. Under the sport concentration model, classes are primarily scheduled for the morning to free up afternoons for training. Applications are recommended by sports associations in the Outaouais region.
For the 2026-2027 school year, the schools have established partnerships with several organizations, including the Outaouais Baseball Club, Chelsea Nordiq, the Cascades Volleyball Club, Altitude Gym, the Francis Wathier Hockey Academy, and Gatineau Skateboard. Women’s hockey, the Gatineau Intrépide U18 AAA team, and Beaudoin Karaté Gatineau are also on the list of announced partners.
