GENERATION RESTORATION
June 2 to 8 is Canadian Environment Week. Created in 1971, this week celebrates Canada's environmental achievements and encourages us to contribute to the conservation and protection of our environment.
But what exactly is the environment?
In a nutshell, it's the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. It's the nature that surrounds us: plants, trees, insects and animals. All essential to our well-being and survival.
Each year, this week is coordinated with the United Nations' World Environment Day on June 5, whose theme for 2024 is Generation Restoration.
We can't go back in time, but today we can grow forests, protect and purify our water sources and restore our soils. In a word, to cherish the planet we share.
