FOREST CELEBRATION

On Sunday, 7 September, you are cordially invited to participate in the 5th anniversary of the Forest Celebration.

Wood is the traditional symbol of five years of union! It was chosen because it represents strength, stability and growth, which aptly describes the relationship between the Alliance and Deschênes Park. And we have every reason to celebrate. It has already been five years since the Alliance was created following a citizen mobilisation aimed at promoting and protecting this natural space, which resulted in a vote by the municipal council in 2020 to ensure its protection.

Come meet us at our kiosk to learn more about this urban forest gem. Do you like birds? You can take part in a birdwatching outing with an expert from the Outaouais Ornithologists' Club.

Want to learn more about nature and biodiversity? There will also be a discovery hike through the park.

And like any birthday celebration, we will have a cake to share with you.

We invite you to come blow out the candles with us on Sunday, 7 September, from 10 a.m. to noon in front of 100 Fraser Road.

We look forward to meeting you.
