Festivities at Nesbitt’s Christmas Market

AYLMER — The annual Christmas Market festivities at Nesbitt’s Greenhouse located on Eardley Road were in full swing Saturday and Sunday December 6th and 7th, continuing Saturday and Sunday December 13th and 14th from 10 am until 4 pm. With over 40 vendors situated indoors in heated surroundings, browsing was very comfortable. The site is wheel chair accessible, with free parking.
Over 40 vendors are participating, some only appearing on December 13 and 14, selling everything from local honey harvested in Luskville, to waffles, jewellery, calendars and dog Woofers for the pets in our lives. James Leon was selling a book written by his Mom, titled “What a Mess, Kid”, about James being a very messy boy with a very big imagination, a fun read. The second weekend will feature some new vendors, so repeat visits to the market are productive.
Santa’s happy Elves roamed through the crowd offering hot chocolate and mulled wine to the browsing visitors. An auction on two Gift Baskets to raise money for the Food Bank took place. The Grand Orchestre of Grand Riviere High School played music on Saturday afternoon. All in all, a good place to do some last minute Christmas shopping.
