Aylmer was alive with festive spirit on December 14, 2024, as two remarkable holiday concerts filled the town with the magic of the season. The Grand orchestre Grande Rivière and Christ Church Aylmer each hosted events that celebrated the warmth and joy of the holidays, leaving audiences enchanted.
The Grand orchestre Grande Rivière’s Holiday Magic 2024, held at Grande-Rivière High School, brought the community together for a free, family-friendly concert. Under the direction of Denise Simard-Lapointe, the orchestra performed a selection of holiday classics that filled the venue with warmth and joy. Attendees were treated to an inspiring blend of tradition and artistry, creating a festive experience that resonated with all ages.
Later in the evening, Christ Church Aylmer presented the Joyous Christmas Concert in support of the Aylmer Food Centre. Featuring the Stef Nelson Quartet and the Christ Church Choir, the concert combined classic and contemporary Christmas music in a moving performance. The event also emphasized the spirit of giving, encouraging attendees to contribute non-perishable food items and donations to support those in need during the holiday season.
