Discovery walk through the Deschênes forest

On Sunday, August 23, Alliance Parc Deschênes, in collaboration with the City of Gatineau, is organizing a discovery walk through the Deschênes forest. Come explore the forest and discover the richness of this natural environment right in the heart of the city. Together, we will discover its biodiversity, the many benefits it offers us, its ecological history, and the geographical features that shape this area.

Throughout the walk, we’ll take the time to observe what’s growing beneath our feet, beside us, and above our heads. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn to identify the species that inhabit the forest and to gain a fresh perspective on the nature around us! This discovery walk will begin at the end of Vanier Road at the Claudette-Burke parking lot near the Ottawa River on Sunday, August 23, at 10 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
