December 19: Construction progresses for the future Place des Pionniers building

As of December 19, progress has been made in the construction of the long-awaited Place des Pionniers building that will host the Lucy-Faris Library. Although there is a long wait ahead before the building is complete, some residents may be relieved to see slow and steady progress on the future community hub. Since the demolition of the previous building at the same location the city service center and the library have been operating from Galeries Aylmer. The construction of Place des Pionniers will continue through 2024 and into 2025.
