Previously established in Chelsea, Cuisine Express Indienne has been bringing flavorful dishes to the region for three years before moving to Aylmer. Owner and Chef, Asma Sultana moved to Canada with her husband in 2018. After taking a few years to raise her baby boy, she decided to pursue her dream of opening a restaurant.
She first started working at the Indian restaurant in Chelsea as a Chef before taking over a few months later when it became Cuisine Express Indienne. Sultana has always loved cooking with her mother and father and later got her culinary certificate in northern India. “This food is in my blood; it is what I love to do.”
Cuisine Express Indienne offers a large variety of authentic north Indian cuisine. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and many gluten free options. The entire menu is also nut free. Sultana imports all the ingredients from India, grinds her own spices, and makes all dishes herself.
“If you want authentic north Indian food, and an authentic taste, you have to use these Ingredients,” said the Chef adding that she ensures meals are made with the top quality ingredients.
The restaurant offers dine-in, take-out, and delivery all while providing a warm and welcoming environment. The team of nine provide top quality customer service, their customers and the Aylmer community is their top priority.
“I can’t explain how beautiful the Aylmer community has been, how welcoming and supportive they have been. We are so thankful,” said Sultana, highlighting that being a part of the Aylmer community is very important to her and for her family restaurant.
Cuisine Express Indienne is located at 22 Rue Principale and is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
