Community grieves after fatal accident

Heavy duty truck flips off road leaving the 70-year-old driver declared dead. On the morning of September 11, at 7:05 am, first responders received a call about a 10-wheel truck having flipped at the intersection of de la Beurrerie and McCrank in La Pêche. The driver went off the road while navigating a curve. The truck was loaded at the time of the accident.
The driver, a 70-year-old man, was the only one on board. As the heavy duty truck flipped, he was ejected from the driver's seat and was trapped under the vehicle cab. The man was declared dead after being transported to the hospital.
