City gears up for the Tour de Gatineau and the British Grand Prix

Old Aylmer is set to host the thrilling Tour de Gatineau from September 20 to 22, drawing cycling enthusiasts from across the region. This annual event will showcase three exciting races: a time trial on September 20, a road race on September 21, and a criterium on September 22. Spectators can expect high-speed action and fierce competition among cyclists at various locations around the city.
In addition to the September event, the Tour de Gatineau is also organizing the British Grand Prix, a spectacular road cycling event, on June 15. The race will feature a 1.4 km circuit through the historic streets of Aylmer, with the start and finish lines positioned in front of the iconic British Hotel. Fans of cycling can gather to watch this impressive event and cheer on the athletes as they zip through the course.
The organizers are also calling for volunteers to support these events. Interested individuals can contribute to the success of the British Grand Prix and the Tour de Gatineau by signing up for various roles.
The Tour de Gatineau is also seeking donations to support female athletes and promote gender equality in sports. Contributions will assist in providing better opportunities and resources for women in cycling, helping to foster the next generation of champions. Donors contributing $25 or more will receive an official donation tax receipt.
