The Association Québécoise des Technologies (AQT) has officially opened its call for applications for the 2024 Young Business Grants. This initiative, which has been running since 2018, aims to support young technology companies in Quebec by offering nearly $6,000 in dedicated services to help them grow and succeed. The deadline for applications is August 31.
The AQT Young Business Grants are designed to foster the development of innovative tech companies that demonstrate strong growth potential and leadership qualities. Since its inception, the program has sought to create opportunities for young companies by promoting constructive exchanges, facilitating meetings with experienced industry members, and positioning them favourably in the market.
Companies wishing to apply for the grant must meet several eligibility criteria. Applicants must have their head office in Quebec and be incorporated under provincial or federal law. They must also be in the Quebec business register and operate in the techno-digital sector.
Eligible companies must be between 18 months and five years old, be in the process of marketing, and have a minimum annual turnover of $500,000. Additionally, applicants must have a concrete development plan and must not be involved in any legal proceedings or have any legal recourse against their company.
The AQT Young Business Grants offer more than just financial support. Winning companies will benefit from the collective experience of the AQT community, gain favourable market positioning, receive media exposure, and be propelled to the next stage of their business growth.
